Anyone over the age of 35 may also become an unaffiliated member of the BMAF which means they can compete as a guest competitor in BMAF track/field and cross country and race walking individual competitions. You are free to do this if you are not yet ready to commit to joining a BMAF area club and wish to see how you get on. The requirements for UKA registration still apply.
Overseas guest competitors are particularly welcome and there is no requirement for them to be registered to UKA.
The steps to register consist of the following:
1) Provide personal information and contact details
2) Provide documentation to enable validation of date of birth
Online facilities for registration and entries to BMAF competitions are initiated via the "Member/Guest Access" link to OpenTrack located on the top right of this screen or via the fixtures page
Guests are excluded from BMAF road championships when there is an open race in which the race organiser is offering prizes or medals for the masters' categories. The BMAF will try to persuade organisers to expand what they offer and publicise the ones who are good in this respect.
